Brush pens and light box = <3

For the first time in a while, I've actually felt EXCITED and eager to draw.
So I tried out my light box and brush pens, that I got for Christmas, today for the first time and I LOVE THEM! It makes drawing just so much easier for me.

Do feel free to tell me what you think, and I'm more than happy to accept advice from people who use brush pens a lot. :)

OMG CHRISTMAS

Well it's over...until next year! :(

It went really well, there were no family arguments and we had lots of fun!

I managed to keep my illness down with anti-nausea pills and was able to enjoy my vegetarian Christmas dinner of awesomeness <3 <3 <3

And now for my list of presents I got (in no particular order of awesome sauce)

-Destroy All Humans 3 for the PS3

-A pair of Converse Shoes

-LIGHT BOX

-2x Pentel Brush pens

-Charlie Brooker: The Hell of it All (book)

-Dylan Moran: DVD Box set

-USB Computer bouncer (protects my PC or something xD )

-Logitech Speakers for my computer

-Radio Alarm Clock (my first <3 )

-Gloves

-LINDT CHOCOLATE SANTA

-Magic illusion money box

- Top Gear Poster

-Where's the Stig (book, parody of Where's Wally)

And an awesome little piece of gift art from :iconyamavu:

I also decided that my art was good enough to actually attempt to make a few cards for some of my close friends here in the art community :)

And due to my lack of festive art, I shall post them here!

For Yamavu, obviously :P

For a close friend that loves Yoshi.

I hope you all had a very merry Christmas filled with good memories and happy times :D

Don't you just love model towns?

Personally, I do! Check out these awesome model recreations! :D

Truro College, England

Falmouth Docks, England
Calico Ghost Town, California
Hoover Dam, California/Arizona
Grand Central Terminal, New York

Cool huh? Want to know something even cooler?
They're not models at all, but cleverly manipulated photos!
I discovered a lens for the camera called a tilt shift lens, that makes things look like they're miniature. But I also discovered the same effect can be mastered (better) on Photo shop! These are a few photos I've taken myself and changed them to look like models!

So instead of trying to make something fake look realistic, I have made something realistic look fake!

...Don't believe me? :P

Well I hope I've blown your mind with this, if you want to see some much better ones done by professionals, search "tilt lens photography" into Google and prepare for the AWESOMENESS!

Let me introduce myself

Well I decided to make an account on here, so here I am :)
I'm an art student from the South West of England in the UK, and I'm currently studying to become a cartoonist, illustrator and animator.
I love cartoons so much! I love drawing them, watching them and researching about them and learning from the professionals! I know a lot of people on the web who share my passion and that's why I'm here :D

I do other stuff, like mountain biking, and travelling a lot! But you'll mostly be seeing cartoons, animations and a bit of photography from me on here. I guess to start, let me show you a few things I've done recently.

And then the image button broke, haha.

And here are a few of my animations, admittedly I haven't made many recently:

Well there's a couple of my drawings and animations, but you'll definitely be seeing more of them! So stay tuned for Daz Toons! :D
