Don't you just love model towns?

Personally, I do! Check out these awesome model recreations! :D

Truro College, England

Falmouth Docks, England
Calico Ghost Town, California
Hoover Dam, California/Arizona
Grand Central Terminal, New York

Cool huh? Want to know something even cooler?
They're not models at all, but cleverly manipulated photos!
I discovered a lens for the camera called a tilt shift lens, that makes things look like they're miniature. But I also discovered the same effect can be mastered (better) on Photo shop! These are a few photos I've taken myself and changed them to look like models!

So instead of trying to make something fake look realistic, I have made something realistic look fake!

...Don't believe me? :P

Well I hope I've blown your mind with this, if you want to see some much better ones done by professionals, search "tilt lens photography" into Google and prepare for the AWESOMENESS!

  1. I could easily tell at first those were real photos that have been retouched, for a simple reason: chromatic aberration. It only happens on “unexpensive” lenses, as opposed to the macro ones.

  2. haha, I didn't even use a camera :P It was all done on photoshop.
